Lovely to see our wedding picture on the blog. Thankyou. just a note to tell everyone we had a fantastic day. I stumbled on to Maries couture cake site quite by accident after looking at. a great many, at very short notice before our wedding date. i had intended to make my own cake. We had a fixed small budget for our wedding. Designing and making all our own stationary, flowers and favours. importing my dress from abroad to save cost. To cut a long story short, i realised that working full time and trying to make my cake on the week of the wedding, was not one of my greater ideas. Marie was a godsend, i emailed the site for advice and got more than i could have hoped for. not only did i have a fantastic cake which tasted glorious. Marie worked with me every step of the way to ensure that i didnt have to compromise my budget, or the type of cake i wanted. we had many compliments on the day about our cake, and unlike a lot of weddings i have been to, not only was our cake eaten as another choice of sweet, many of our guests made sure the had taken portions home aswell (in our handmade cake boxes). We had very little waste. We had a full Church service,5 Bridesmaids a pageboy, My 2 sons gave me away and 2 Groomsmen. a fantastic reception venue with first class food. And thanks to Marie we managed it all on our budget of just over £6.000. It can be done. Many thought we had spent 3 or 4 times that amount. I would be happy to pass on any helpfull tips for Brides in the same position, who want a Classy wedding on a budget. And marie is definately the one to see for exceptional cakes within your budget.
